Canada’s First West Credit Union has collaborated with Everlink Payment Services to launch in-branch contactless debit cards for its customers through Everlink’s Instant Card Issuance solution (ICI).
With the issuance of Interac Flash powered debit cards, First West will become the first credit union in British Columbia to introduce customized contact and contactless cards in an instant.
The ICI solution is designed to produce a fully functional and personalized card with customizable images and graphics through its high-definition financial card printers within minutes of a customer signup at the branch.
Everlink president and CEO Mark Ripplinger said that First West Credit Union’s new and existing members would soon benefit from a service that no other financial institution in BC currently offers.
First West Credit Union CIO Darrell Jaggers said: "We know our members lead busy lives so we’re thrilled to be able to provide them with a product that allows them to pay for their items with the tap of their card, making everyday purchases a quick, secure and simple process."
