First Bank of Nigeria has launched the new MeFirst prepaid card, particularly designed for teenagers aged between 13 and17 years.

The card is aimed at developing financial responsibility and money management skills within this age group and helping them incorporate a cashless culture early in their life.

First Bank of Nigeria head of consumer banking products Adebimpe Ihekuna said: "The MeFirst Card is one of the numerous ways FirstBank ensures that children and young adults are empowered with sound financial education."

The card, available in five designs, has to be preloaded by parents/guardians.

It has a quarterly spending limit of NGN50,000, as well as can also be designed to suit the preferences of the caregivers.
