The future
for automated clearing houses (ACH) may seem uncertain in light
of SEPA, but that does not prevent some of them from expanding:
Today (9 December), Equens has opened its office in London,
UK.
The pan-European ACH, headquartered in the Netherlands,
told Electronic Payments International that its goal
was to expand in Europe and acquire more clients in different
countries.
A spokesperson said that the UK market was an “important”
one.
Michael Steinbach, chairman of the board of directors of Equens
said in an official statement:
“We clearly pursue a strategy of European growth. Therefore, we
are glad to announce the opening of a branch office in London in
October this year.
