USA Technologies has launched a new contactless debit card acceptance reader, ePort G9 with Interac Flash, in Canada.

Unattended retail businesses can use the ePort G9 to accept consumer payments made using Interac Flash-enabled bank debit cards.

ePort G9 capabilities

ePort G9 is a two-piece card reader and telemetry system designed to be compatible with Interac Flash contactless debit solution. It accepts both NFC-enabled cards and standard magnetic stripe credit cards.

The card reader’s hardware is supported by the ePort Connect and Seed suite of services.

USA Technologies CSO Michael Lawlor said: “We believe that the addition of ePort G9 with Interac Flash to our suite of solutions will help our customers increase sales and improve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, it will ensure superior data protection and fast transaction processing.”

The company said that ePort G9 transmits encrypted data to service provider USALive. It also enables fast authorisation response and facilitates easy integration with most of the VMS systems.
