Dubai based airline Emirates, in partnership with UK credit card provider MBNA, is to launch two co-branded credit card accounts in the UK for new and existing customers of its frequent flyer programme Emirates Skywards.

The Emirates Skywards Credit Card account and Emirates Skywards Elite Credit Card account will allow customers to earn more Skywards Miles which can be redeemed on various rewards.

Each account includes a credit card from American Express and a credit card from Visa.

Customers can choose to pay a standard no annual fee or an elite version with fee.

The Emirates Skywards Credit Card account offers a rate of 17.9% per annum, with the Elite account offering 18.9% per annum.

Brian LaBelle, senior vice president at Emirates Skywards, said: "It is a logical step for Emirates Skywards to launch these two new products in the UK, home to our largest membership base globally."
