Another payment cards
provider has joined the ranks of those turning their focus on
EMV.

Dynamics Cards
Solutions has unveiled its chip-and-PIN technology.

Fiserv
had announced that it would begin producing EMV cards in
September.

Dynamics’ payment
technology offers users different payment options with its two
chips: One is embedded and the other exposed.

This provides card
holders with more flexibility, Dynamics said because card members
can press buttons to choose a payment method.

Dynamics explained
the process in an official announcement:

“Dynamics’ secure,
embedded chip writes a different, temporary chip profile into the
exposed chip based on the user’s selection. In doing so, a user can
select and use different payment applications even with readers
that do not support such applications.

“This level of
flexibility (…) negates the needs for costly infrastructure updates
in order to deliver powerful new functionality to merchants,
networks, card issuers and consumers.”
