International payments provider Currencies Direct has partnered with identity verification platform Onfido in an effort to support customer onboarding.
Under the partnership, Currencies Direct will leverage Onfido’s AI-based identity verification technology to support the customer onboarding process.
Onfido’s technology is also said to enable Currencies Direct to comply with KYC and AML norms.
Commenting on the partnership, Onfido CEO and co-founder Husayn Kassai said: “Balancing compliance requirements with an elegant and simple customer experience is critical in our online world.
“We’re pleased to be able to help Currencies Direct achieve this goal and look forward to helping them scale their business.”
At present, Currencies Direct offers international payments services in more than 40 currencies to 120 countries. It services over 250,000 customers.
Users can make transfers through the online app or over the phone.
They will also be able to gain access to a dedicated account management team and talk with a currency expert directly.
Currencies Direct was recently in the news for expanding its North America presence.
