Digital currency platform Crypto.com has unveiled new features in order to boost the platform’s security.

Among the new features include Two Factor Authentication (2FA), which can be availed by users of the Crypto.com mobile app.

2FA will address security concerns during crypto sending and withdrawal and wallet address whitelisting.

Plans are on to update 2FA and roll out more granular features later.

Commenting on the upgrade, Crypto.com said: “Additionally, users’ 2FA tokens will automatically sync to any new device they authorise.

“And, if a device is lost, stolen, or retired, users can deauthorise it from any authorised device.”

Crypto.com also launched a webpage that offers information on its security features.

“Security is a key differentiator in financial services and Crypto.com will seek to be a leader in providing a higher standard of security measures in order to provide users peace of mind that their funds are safe with Crypto.com,” the digital currency platform stated.

Moreover, to prevent any loss, the crypto platform has up to $100m insurance for digital assets in cold storage.

The availability of these new security features comes close on the heels of Crypto.com’s launch of the Pay Your Friends app.

The app supports zero-fee crypto payments to friends and incentivises users for encouraging crypto transactions.
