CrediMax rolls out new multi-currency contactless card

CrediMax, a credit card issuer and acquirer, has introduced its new multi-currency pre-paid contactless card known as ‘Cardy EX’ in Bahrain.

The new card enables users to pay for goods and services in up to six major currencies including Bahraini Dinars, GBP, Euro, USD, AED and SR.

CrediMax CEO Yousif Ali Mirza said: “We continuously aim to simplify our cardholders shopping experience by giving them smart payment solutions and the confidence to travel safely, shop better online with complete convenience and control over their budget.

“Additionally, unlike other cards, “Cardy Ex” will have no international transaction fees on GBP, EURO, AED and SR. As for the USD, it will have an international transaction fee of 1.5% only.”

Mirza further said that this card is one of the many payment solutions that the company is considering launching for its customers within the next few years.

From July to September this year, CrediMax is offering $0.377 rate exclusively without any international transaction fees or any additional fees.

“We will also be rewarding the first 3,000 cardholders who apply for and receive their “Crady EX” card, with complementary $10 credit. On top of that, cardholders will also be eligible to enter CrediMax’s main campaign “Win the Max with CrediMax” which runs till end of this year”, added Mirza concluded.
