CPI Card joins forces with Oxygen to launch debit cards for self-employed

US-based card manufacturer CPI Card Group has partnered with digital banking platform Oxygen to deliver debit cards to Oxygen’s freelance and self-employed clients.

Oxygen chose CPI to develop its first personal and business debit cards, using the latter’s card manufacturing experience and advanced print design services.

Oxygen, through its recently launched mobile app, offers ‘flexible banking solutions’ to millions of US professionals who depend on multiple income streams, contract work, and gigs.

Oxygen leverages CPI’s expertise to create an end-to-end payment solution.

The partners have developed two packages with vertical cards that arrive nested in interactive packaging.

Oxygen founder and CEO Hussein Ahmed said: “At Oxygen, we understand that the physical brand experience, – including everything from the card design to the packaging appearance – matters for our creative, tech-savvy clientele.

“With CPI’s cost-effective scale and design strengths, we were able to deliver a sleek card to customers in a unique, memorable fashion.”

CPI card manufacturing expertise empowers businesses to provide different card designs and technology features.

It provides end-to-end support and customisation that allows businesses to create products tailored to the needs of their customers.

Additionally, CPI’s packaging options and personalisation capabilities enable financial institutions to deliver a premium cardholder experience.

CPI Card Group secure card solutions SVP and general manager Guy DiMaggio said: “CPI and Oxygen share in being deeply customer-centric in everything we do.

“We are excited to leverage our manufacturing strengths and high-quality print and design services to achieve debit cards that match the modern, sophisticated aesthetic of Oxygen’s brand and its clients.”
