Contis Group has made two leadership team appointments and consolidated after a run of acquisitions that have turned it into a fully-owned end-to-end prepaid payment solutions provider, the company says.
According to the firm, Contis Group has become one of Europe’s end-to-end prepaid providers that does not outsource any part of the implementation and programme management process.
“Other companies outsource at least one stage: but we’ve been there and we know this adds complexity and cost,” Contis group managing director Mike Fromant said.
“Clients will now know they are dealing with one company only and we believe that, because we control all operations within the prepaid value chain, we’ll be able to provide a more efficient service, eliminating the risks and challenges associated with third party outsourcing,” he added.
Following the completion of the consolidation process, Contis has appointed Eduardo Benito as head of client delivery and Byron Lawton as marketing manager.
Contis’ integration strategy suggests a trend in the industry, as Fromant confirms.
“We’ have been in acquisition talks with a number of competitors, who said they believe this is the right path to follow,” he said.
Contis managing director said it plans on taking on further acquisitions in the future to continue streamlining services.
Contis is a principal member of Visa Europe and Visa Certified Processor. The company’s most recent acquisitions include gift cards and account card processing and provision GTP Group in 2010, and GTP Financial Services in 2011.
