Microsoft has added online payments functionality to Skype Professional Account, which targets small business owners and instructors.
The new feature will enable users to accept online payments and take notes from a single desktop client.
Microsoft in a statement said: “Skype Professional Account will make it easier for thousands of service providers to connect with their customers and conduct their business—all in one place.”
Microsoft said Skype Professional Account would be free during the preview period. However, the company did not reveal any details about the pricing after preview period is over.
The preview is available only in the US and users can sign up for the preview on the Skype website.
Besides the meeting and payments related features, Skype will release an enhanced profile page to enable SMB owners improve their online presence in Skype.
