French payments provider Ingenico Group has agreed to acquire Airlink, a Taiwan-based value added reseller.

Airlink offers tailored payment solutions such as POS terminals, field services and software development to acquirers and retailers. The business has a workforce of over 100.

Ingenico said that Airlink’s strong relationships with top local banks, acquirers and large merchants will strengthen its position in Taiwan and Northeast Asia.

The deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, is subject to regulatory nod.

Ingenico Banks & Acquirers Business Unit executive vice president Patrice Le Marre said: “Airlink’s leading position will help us accelerate our development in the dynamic Taiwanese market. Its comprehensive portfolio of services dedicated to terminal estates is a key asset in a country where electronic payments are ramping up quickly.”
