Commercial Bank of Ceylon has teamed up with the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), Channel 17 and MasterCard to launch a new co-branded debit card.

The new Ransalu Privilege Card can be accessed for free by any member of the JAAF operated Ransalu Loyalty Programme having an account with the Sri Lankan lender.

The product will offer users discounts and offers usually accessed by debit card holders of Commercial Bank. The card will also offer users the benefits under the Ransalu programme that offers members discounts on essential consumer items, hospitalisation, pharmaceutical products and clothing.

In addition, the card will be an identification for users to claim benefits from the loyalty programme.

Commercial Bank of Ceylon managing director/CEO Jegan Durairatnam said: "The apparel industry is a vital constituent of Sri Lanka’s export economy, and retaining and rewarding its workers is mission-critical. Commercial Bank is therefore delighted to join the Ransalu Loyalty Programme to support the aspirations of our apparel sector workers through this exclusive Debit Card."

MasterCard Sri Lanka & Maldives country manager R B Santosh Kumar added: "MasterCard is pleased to be part of an effort to improve the lives of apparel sector workers through this initiative. This Debit card will enable them to manage their finances better and at the same time receive a host of other benefits."
