Citibank is to add new functionalities to its ATMs in the US that will remember customer preferences, and will reduce their time spent on ATM to check balances, make deposits and to withdraw money.

Some of the new features and design elements of the ATMs include quick-touch balance peeks, remembered preferences, simplified screen flows, and customer friendly design and tone.

The quick-touch balance peeks functionality allows customers to perform transactions such as reviewing account balances in a single screen, thus reducing confusion and saving time to navigate through multiple screens.

Under remembered preferences, customers can set their preferences, such as language, one time and use them for future visits.

Citi US consumer and commercial banking president, Cece Stewart, said based on extensive feedback from customers, they have reimagined the ATM experience to make it simpler and faster.

"No matter how we interact with customers – at an ATM, in a branch, on a mobile device, over the phone or online – we want to deliver the best experience possible," Stewart added.
