There may be an ocean between the two
continents, but areas of focus for the payments industries in 2012
are not so divided:

Two upcoming conferences in the US include
EastPay’s Information Interchange and the National Retail
Federation’s Retail Big Show.

Operations and technology, risk and
compliance, and treasury management in the electronic payments
space will be the key focus at the upcoming Information Interchange
2012 in the US.

The conference will take place at the end of
February under the banner Catch the ePayments Wave and is certainly
one to watch as key speakers will include NACHA’s CEO and president
Jan Estep and several representatives from the Federal Reserve
Bank, FIS and Fiserv.

The conference is hosted by trade association
EastPay, which is a regional payment member of NACHA in the
South-East of the US.

Its services include regulatory compliance
support and risk management services.

Glory (USA) to showcase new cash
management solutions

While the National Retail Federation’s Retail
Big Show 2012 may not be an electronic payments-only conference,
the sector will surely show an interest in what some of the
attendees have to offer.

Glory (USA), a manufacturer of money handling
equipment and cash management software, will showcase its latest
offerings at the National Retail Federation’s Retail Big Show
2012.

Glory will display Cashinfinity – a cash
management solution – which the company said consists of total
secure closed cash management, centralised control of cash
inventory and optimisation of all cash processes throughout a
store.

The company will also showcase its RBG-300 iCR

productive, efficient and secure cash management systems.

This solution is designed to be installed in
retail stores and connected online to the financial institutions
network to process deposits and dispenses notes for change
funds.

Tina Tuccillo, Glory vice president of
