CardFlight, a mobile point of sale (mPOS) technology provider, has introduced the EMV-ready chip card readers for its SwipeSimple mobile point of sale solution.
The chip card readers will allow merchant service providers to provide their clients with chip card technology ahead of the October 2015 liability shift.
CardFlight, which is already in EMV certification testing with multiple leading processors, expects to receive full certification with multiple providers during the second quarter of 2015.
The company said that the readers feature encrypted magnetic stripe readers, which allow merchants to accept payments on cards that do not contain an EMV chip or if their processor doesn’t support EMV transactions.
SwipeSimple, which was introduced last year, contains encrypted mobile card readers, payment acceptance applications for iOS and Android devices, a real-time reporting and admin dashboard for merchants, and a reseller portal for easy onboarding and portfolio management.
Furthermore, CardFlight plans to partner with POS Portal to distribute its EMV-ready mobile card reader solution.
