Linx, a Brazilian retail management technology developer, has entered into a partnership with local payment app PicPay.

The collaboration seeks to provide the Brazilian retailers with an additional QR payment acceptance option at the stores.

It is expected to enable consumers make QR payments at more than 100,000 stores which use the Linx management system.

Each retailer will display a single QR code to accept payments from different platforms including PicPay and other Linx e-wallet partners.

PicPay commercial director Elvis Tinti said: “Payment made via QR Code brings innovation to retail and meets three consumer longings: safety, ease of use and speed.

“Simply put, it reduces friction when paying, greatly improves the customer experience and, consequently, the retailer experience.

PicPay is one of the largest mobile payments company in Latin America. The PicPay app allows users to make fund transfers, bill payments and store money.

Established in 2012, the company has enabled more than 3.5 million transactions.
