BBVA has expanded its payment offering for its Spanish customers by introducing Apple’s mobile payment platform Apple Pay.

The service can be availed by customers with Apple Watch, iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later versions.

Customers can also utilise Apple Pay in Safari on any Mac launched in or after 2012.

In addition, BBVA customers can make online purchases on apps and websites accepting Apple Pay using Touch ID or Face ID, thereby eliminating the need to fill shipping and billing details.

Apple Pay does not store the actual card numbers on the device or its server but instead allots a unique device account number that is again encrypted and stored on the mobile to ensure better security.

All transactions made through Apple Pay are authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
