Indonesian lender Bank Central Asia (BCA) has enhanced its mobile banking and e-wallet service Sakuku to allow customers withdraw cash at ATMs without needing a debit card.

The move is intended at allowing its customers to carry out more number of transactions using its mobile banking platform and promote electronic payments.

To use the new facility, BCA customers need to access the cash withdrawal menu on the m-BCA app then enter a withdrawal code obtained on their mobile number at the ATM to collect the money.

In the first quarter of this year, the bank has processed nearly 244.8 million mobile banking transactions worth IDR 214.7 trillion ($16.12bn).

BCA, which was incorporated in 1955, provides banking products and services to individual, corporate, and small and medium enterprise customers in Indonesia.
