Bango, a UK-based mobile payment provider, has selected Dell infrastructure to power its upcoming mobile payments and analytics business.

This move by Bango is part of plans to expand its app store reach, enter new markets and reach its goal of triple digit growth.

By using Dell infrastructure, which includes Dell Networking S-series managed switches and PowerEdge R620 servers and Dell Compellent Flash Optimised solution, Bango can offer direct operator billing services to customers, allowing them to pay for goods and services directly from their mobiles instead of credit cards.

Bango chief operating officer, David Keeling, said the Dell account team spent time understanding their business to ensure that they received a solid IT foundation tailored for their customers.

"The new infrastructure is more resilient and provides service scale to underpin our growth. With this infrastructure we’ll be able to expand to handle the needs of new clients in new markets," Keeling added.

With a log of 200,000 payment transactions per day and two billion analytics queries per month, Bango currently has relationship with major app stores including Amazon, BlackBerry World, Facebook, Firefox Marketplace, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and major mobile brands such as CNN, Cartoon Network and EA Mobile.
