Banco de Brasília (BRB) has partnered with augmented identity technology provider IDEMIA to introduce the Dux metal double interface card, targeted at high-income customers.
The Visa-branded card, powered by IDEMIA technology, is made from a metallic material.
Athos Bulcão, one of the main artistic references in Brasília, is the inspiration behind the offering’s exclusive design.
IDEMIA senior vice president for Latin America Marcelo Annarumma believes that the company’s technology will support the innovation trajectory of the Brazilian lender, which has an active client base of over 800.
“Payment cards are no longer a mere payment tool in Brazil, but they also reflect lifestyle – through its high-quality material, superior style, design, and handmade effects that refers to an exclusivity quotient,” Annarumma stated.
The new card offers a host of premium benefits including a specialised concierge service, consulting services, travel planning, booking of tours and leisure activities overseas as well as exclusive menus in restaurants.
At the same time, it enables users to gain unlimited access to VIP lounges at Brasília Airport along with access to thousands of Brazilian and global VIP lounges through the Loungekey programme.
It also provides users the benefits of BRB relationship programme including points that do not expire, an accumulation of 4 points for each dollar spent on purchases and 5 points for every dollar spent in the first year following the product’s roll-out.
Points can be redeemed on Latam Pass, Smiles, as well as InMais programmes, or for invoice cashback.
Besides, Dux cardholders can avail discounts and exclusive conditions like discounts on aircraft and helicopter charters.
Commenting on the alliance, BRB president Paulo Henrique Costa said: “BRB takes now another important step for diversification of its portfolio and consolidates itself as a modern, agile, complete and innovative bank.”
BRB has 138 branches in all regions of the Federal District and its surroundings. It operates in the states of Minas Gerais, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Piauí and Tocantins.
Its digital bank, Nação BRB FLA, has operations in 23 states, in association with Flamengo.
In January this year, IndusInd Bank collaborated with IDEMIA to launch its metal credit card called ‘PIONEER Heritage’ for its wealth customers.
