American Express has launched a suite of new benefits for its UK Corporate Gold and Platinum card members aimed at helping business travellers.
These benefits include unlimited access to more than a million Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide via wireless services company Boingo, integration with the TripCase app and an enhanced airport VIP lounge access.
Boingo’s network includes BT Wi-Fi hotspots in the UK and is available in airports, hotels and retailers. According to American Express, the "card members, once enrolled, can have simultaneous internet access on up to four devices without worrying about data caps or roaming charges".
Karen Penney, vice president and general manager UK at American Express Global Corporate Payments Europe, said: "We recognise that business travellers are increasingly turning to mobile and digital tools to make their travel time more efficient. At the same time, companies value compliance and cost control more than ever.
"Our new Gold and Platinum Corporate card member benefits have been developed with these factors in mind, to keep business travellers connected and comfortable at every point of their journey."
TripCase, an itinerary management app by technology company Sabre, links users’ travel reservations into one master itinerary on any iOS or Android device, or via the web. It provides updates such as delays, cancellations and gate changes.
