ICICI Bank has partnered with Amazon Pay to roll out a rewards-based co-branded credit card for consumers across the country.

The Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card offers 5% rewards points to Amazon Prime members. Cardholders who do not have a Prime membership will get 3% reward points.

Furthermore, the card allows users to earn 2% reward points at Amazon Pay partner merchants. These partner benefits include food delivery, utility payments and movie ticketing, among others.

Expanding rewards-based to drive customer use

Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card additionally provides 1% points on spends at any merchant accepting Visa cards. The earned reward points are uncapped and do not expire.

The points can be redeemed on Amazon.in purchase across various categories such as mobiles, electronics, grocery, appliances, fashion, and bill payments among others.

The cards can also be used for transactions at Amazon Pay partner merchants. These include the purchase of flight tickets, hotel booking, food delivery and cinema tickets.

Currently, the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card is available for ICICI Bank customers using Amazon.in app. Furthermore, the partners intend to expand the availability over the coming months.

The Economic Times quoted ICICI Bank general manager and head of unsecured assets & cards Sudipta Roy as saying: “At the moment it is open to only ICICI Bank customers who have a depth of relationship with Amazon. And in about 60 days we will start offering it to non-ICICI Bank customers who have a history with Amazon.”

In addition, upon application in the app, customers will immediately receive a digital card that can be used for online shopping.
