US-based Altamaha Bank has joined forces with Ondot Systems to allow its cardholders to manage their debit cards from anywhere.

Under the deal, the bank will offer Ondot’s Card App to its all debit cardholders.

The app will connect Altamaha’s debit cards with customers’ mobile phones, enabling cardholders to view spending insights on the go.

Ondot’s Card App was launched last year.

In addition to managing the cards or getting instant alerts, the Card App will offer the bank’s customers a suite of digital banking experiences. This includes self-service options like activating the cards or reporting lost or theft of the cards, among others.

The app enables users to view purchase information real-time, understand spending trends and insights, as well as view merchant locations on a map.

Altamaha Bank CEO Brent Sammons said: “Card App will help us provide one of the best digital experiences in the country.

“As a community bank, which focuses on providing the most innovative solutions to our customers, we feel Card App is an important option in helping meet the needs of our customers for more self-service, control and awareness.”

Founded nine years ago, Ondot helps drive cardholder engagement by providing its digital card services platform to over 4,500 banks and credit unions. Ondot chief revenue officer Gary Singh said: “Altamaha, as a community bank, has made a reputation on customer service and experience.

“With more customers interacting digitally, Ondot allows them to connect with their customers in everyday transactions, as well as critical moments when they need service.”

Last month, Ondot collaborated with Visa Token Service (VTS) to enable cardholders to add their Visa cards to their digital wallets.
