Abu Dhabi National Islamic Finance (ADNIF), the Sharia-compliant arm of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), has teamed up with MasterCard to launch a new credit card, ADNIF Elite Islamic ‘Spirit of the Union’ World Elite MasterCard Credit Card, to celebrate the National Day of United Arab Emirates on 2 December 2013.
On the inaugural day, the company allowed cardholders to earn ADNIF Stars for every amount spent on the card. The ADNIF Stars can be redeemed by users with rewards and other prices.

Co-branded by MasterCard, NBAD and ADNIF, the new card comes with a range of travel benefits associated with MasterCard World Elite platform including 24/7 availability of travel advisors and access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai Airport Lounges.
MasterCard UAE country manager Eyad Al Kourdi said World Elite is MasterCard’s most premium offering, focused on making planning effortless and experiences priceless for cardholders.
"The affluent segment wants their payment solutions to provide recognition and exclusivity, preferential access, as well as global acceptance and exceptional service," Al Kourdi added.
