ACI Worldwide is extending ACI Connetic to support payments orchestrated through Swift’s ledger. The company said in a statement that the update brings “intelligent routing” for Swift ledger transactions into its cloud-native payments hub.
The capability is intended to help banks process tokenised deposit payments alongside traditional payment types under a single operating model.

ACI said this approach uses existing operational controls, workflows and infrastructure, removing the need to run separate operations for digital-asset payment processing.
The update follows Swift’s announcement last year of a blockchain-based ledger. Swift has since said the ledger is ready for initial use, with 17 banks across six continents piloting use cases.
The ledger is designed to enable cross-border movement of tokenised deposits beyond a single institution and outside traditional operating hours.
ACI said many institutions are “yet to fit these payments into day-to-day operations”. It added ACI Connetic is intended to place Swift ledger transactions into the “same environment” that banks use to route, monitor, control and reconcile payments.
ACI Worldwide Account-to-Account Payments head and SVP Craig Ramsey said: “Digital assets should extend a bank’s payment capabilities, not force it to build a second payment operation.
“Banks need a practical way to operationalise tokenised deposits at scale using the people, controls and processes they already trust.
“With ACI Connetic, payments orchestrated through Swift’s ledger can be managed alongside other payment flows within a common operational framework.”
ACI Connetic is positioned as a platform that unifies payment types, payment rails and operational controls. Banks can use a single integration to originate, route and manage tokenised deposit payments and traditional payment flows.
The platform applies bank- and customer-defined rules to select clearing and settlement paths. ACI said this lets banks balance speed, cost, availability and customer expectations, while maintaining controls and visibility across the payment lifecycle.
Separately, ACI Worldwide earlier this year partnered with dLocal to provide global merchants with access to local payment methods in Brazil and Mexico.
