ACI Worldwide has expanded ACI Connetic, a unified cloud-native payments platform, to support eight major US payment networks. The move targets rising multi-rail payments complexity as banks operate across multiple clearing and settlement systems.
In a statement, ACI Worldwide said ACI Connetic provides connectivity to Fedwire, CHIPS, Swift, The Clearing House RTP, Zelle and FedNow.

Nacha ACH connectivity, including FedACH and EPN, is expected to be available to customers next year.
ACI Connetic also supports stablecoin and tokenised-deposit capabilities. ACI Worldwide said this enables banks to run traditional, instant and digital-asset payment rails through a single platform, reducing the operational effort associated with managing multiple systems.
The announcement comes as usage of US real-time and batch payment rails continues to increase. Nearly 1,700 institutions now participate in FedNow. The Clearing House RTP processed $1.3trn in payments in 2025, with more than 340,000 businesses and seven million consumers sending a payment each month. The ACH Network handled 35.2 billion payments valued at $93trn.
ACI Worldwide also pointed to operational duplication as more banks run multiple instant-payment systems. The company said 58% of instant-payment-enabled banks operate both FedNow and RTP, which can result in replicated compliance controls, fraud monitoring and exception management across different platforms.
The payments technology provider said ACI Connetic is designed to consolidate clearing connections and payment types into a single cloud-native SaaS platform.
ACI Worldwide senior vice president and head of account-to-account payments Craig Ramsey said: “Banks didn’t set out to run eight payment systems in parallel, but that’s the reality today, and it’s driving real operational risk.
“Every new rail adds controls, compliance and technical debt.”
ACI Worldwide said Nacha ACH support is in development using the same cloud-native approach, with the goal of extending the platform to batch payments and supporting modernisation across US clearing types.
ACI Worldwide president and CEO Thomas Warsop said: “Banks are no longer modernising one rail at a time; they’re being asked to modernise everything at once.
“That’s why we built ACI Connetic. It brings instant, high-value and batch payments together on one cloud-native platform, giving institutions a simpler, more resilient foundation to move faster today while confidently preparing for what’s next.”
ACI Worldwide said the US expansion follows broader adoption of ACI Connetic globally as financial institutions pursue payments modernisation through consolidated connectivity.
In March 2026, ACI launched ACI Connetic for Cards, extending the platform to card issuing, acquiring and ATM processing, and bringing account-to-account (A2A) payments, card payments and AI-driven fraud prevention into a single modular cloud-native architecture.
Across the European Union and the UK, ACI Worldwide said customers are using ACI Connetic to consolidate domestic and international payment schemes while meeting evolving regulatory requirements.
