Spanish banking startup 2gether has announced plans to launch a prepaid Visa debit card that will enable users to spend their cryptocurrencies across Europe.

The firm is expanding across the eurozone after a successful beta launch in Spain.

The company claims that the new debit card will allow users to spend cryptocurrencies like real money, without any fees.

The card will be accessible in 19 eurozone countries with seven different payment options including XRP, bitcoin, bitcoin cash, Ether, Stellar, EOS and Litecoin.

The company did not reveal the release date for this card but said that any EU citizen can install the 2gether app and apply for the prepaid crypto card.

Once the crypto card is launched, users can use the app to manage the euro and crypto balances available.

This app is currently available for download in App Store and Google Play. Using the app, users can also sell and buy crypto with no additional fees.

2gether CEO Ramón Ferraz said: “2gether is developing the bank of the future, where consumers can take full ownership and control of the services they use and go beyond solely interacting with euros and dollars.

“To date, there has been no consumer-owned, tangible application that connects crypto and the mainstream market. We’re proud to be one of the first companies in the crypto space launching a token sale with an already finished product.”

2gether added that its platform will adopt AI and machine learning technologies in future to help users with financial management, investment decisions and product choices.
