“By the end of 2012, NFC and contactless technologies will  significantly change the way we pay.

Loyalty and connecting with the customer at the POS will be vital. NFC smart posters will be a common feature around the store where customers can collect points or validate promotions. NFC will make the redemption of vouchers and coupons at the POS fast and hassle-free and allow retailers to get closer to the customer.

Combined with other payment device innovations already being deployed by VeriFone, such as colour and touch screens, multimedia, smart device-based card acceptance and innovative apps, the store will become a more compelling place to go.”
