Indian lender Yes Bank has joined forces with healthcare fintech Affordplan to launch a co-branded healthcare card to enable families to plan and manage their healthcare finance needs.

The new card is part of the Delhi-based fintech’s ‘Swasth programme’, and therefore named as ‘Swasth Card’.

In addition, the lender has also integrated its wallet on Affordplan Swasth app to enable wallet QR scan for making payments to the merchant.

Customers can apply for the RuPay prepaid card through this wallet.

Affordplan CEO Tejbir Singh said: “Affordplan Swasth is an initiative that has the power to become an agent of change to bring an equal opportunity for curative care to the marginalised and non-marginalised alike.”

The newly launched product offers access to tailored savings projection chart for medical treatment, cheaper healthcare services and treatments and more.

The programme covers accidental hospitalisation, disability, or death and offers rewards-based wellness products and services.

Speaking on the launch, Yes Bank COO Anita Pai said: “At Yes Bank, we believe that technology can be used for the benefit of communities and this partnership with Affordplan is a step towards enabling a connected but contactless healthcare payment system.”
