Emerging Markets Payments (EMP), an electronic payments processing company in Africa and the Middle East, has introduced a new mobile wallet solution called EMP Mobile Wallet.
The new solution will enable banks to offer their customers’ access to banking services and make payments through an app on their mobile phone.
EMP said that the mobile wallet will also include EMPay, which allows customers to create virtual single-use cards on their mobile wallet for use on the internet or for other ‘card not present’ transactions.
Using EMP Mobile Wallet, banks’ customers can remotely administer their card accounts, send or receive local and international payments, transfer money via their mobile phone to another mobile wallet user at the same bank and pay utility bills.
It will also offer customers with a fully integrated interface connecting their accounts and cards in one wallet.
Additionally, banks will also provide the mobile wallet to merchants and will allow consumers using the software to pay for purchases in store with their mobile phone
