TIM, a brand of Telecom Italia Group, has partnered with payments firm SIA to make POS MultiPay terminals operative in over 2,200 stores in its sales network across Italy.
TIM’s prepaid mobile phone clients will be able to set up direct debits for services and offers on their bank or post office current account via debit card.
SIA said that its MultiPay terminals can activate recurrent payments in a simple, secure manner, without the need for the customer’s IBAN code.
With the new payment method, TIM customers can also purchase a smartphone in instalments and will receive double data and voice allowances.
