Payment specialist QikServe has signed a distribution agreement with POSTech, a provider of point-of-sale systems for the hospitality sector in Ireland.
The deal will see POStech offer QikServe’s patented ‘Waiter in Your Pocket’ platform to its hospitality clients across the Ireland.
The app allows users order and pay for hospitality services direct from their smartphones. It automatically captures customer data which can then be used by the operator to launch targeted marketing campaigns.
POStech Ireland sales manager Peter Martin said: “As a Gold Partner for Oracle Hospitality in Ireland, we were immediately interested in joining forces with fellow Gold Partner QikServe, who offer a solution that can help fulfill a growing demand in the sector. Many hospitality operators across Ireland are very interested in adopting mobile ordering and payment and they can now access a fast, cost-effective option for doing this.”
QikServe is available as a standalone, customer-branded app or can be fully integrated into hospitality operators’ existing mobile apps and POS platforms.
The platform makes use of technologies such as in-store beacons or QR codes to alert customers to download and use the app. Once logged into the application, guests can open their check, add to their order, customize meals or room-service orders and pay for them from within the app, QikServe said in its press release.
