Leading Nordic banking group Nordea has
selected Finnish card payment solutions provider Luottokunta to
manage its chip card data and SmartCard production.
The agreement covers all Nordea’s payment
cards in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

“We are delighted that we will be able to
offer our special expertise in payment card management on a Nordic
level,” said Mikko Pilkama, executive vice president at
Luottokunta. “We have long experience in providing security
calculation services and special expertise in chip management.”
Luottokunta’s Smart Card Management service
package contains payment card product set-up and maintenance
services, card manufacturing material processing, security
calculation services, and support and consultancy services.
“Since we have systematically developed our
Smart Card Management service, we are no longer dependent on
individual card personalisation companies, which in turn makes
competitive bidding easier,” Pilkama added.
