German credit card issuer Landesbank Berlin has selected payments giant SIA as its technology partner to set up a new card management system in the country.

The partners are expected to manage the payment cards co-branded with commercial partners like ADAC, an automobile club in Germany.

Under this agreement, SIA’s technology platform will manage the processing of over 2.8 million cards issued by Landesbank Berlin to its customers.

The platform offers advanced management services like fraud prevention and management of disputes and chargebacks.

SIA Northwest Europe and DACH region sales director Cristina Astore said: “Landesbank Berlin has chosen to use our digital platform to offer the customers of its business partners a series of innovative services, from payments to insurance.”

Landesbank may also leverage SIA’s platform for additional applications like digital preservation of customer documentation and the Business Intelligence & Datawarehouse solution.
