A team of experts that includes Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger has launched a new restaurant gift card website.
The site, saveourfaves.org, includes a directory of eateries and cafes in Bay Area that offer online gift cards for purchase.

Visitors can browse by location or preferences to search and buy gift cards from the restaurants directly through the website.
With this initiative, the team seeks to support local businesses which are affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Besides mitigating losses, the move connects loyal customers with their favourite restaurants.
According to the website, “SaveOurFaves is our simple way to make it easier for people to help local businesses through this difficult time.”
The website further states similar initiatives have already popping up for other locations and even nationally.

The recent outbreak, which has infected more than 35,000 people in the US, has significantly affected the restaurant and food service industry. Several eateries have closed their dine-in spaces and switched to pick-up and online delivery services.
