We are pleased to introduce AccelaPay for mobile banking, the first full-suite mobile banking solution with bill pay capabilities in the prepaid marketplace, said Dominic Venturo, chief innovation officer for Retail Payment Solutions, US Bank.
The US Bank cites research from an unnamed source that shows prepaid cardholders are more likely to own a mobile phone than a computer. It claims by adding mobile access to a customers primary financial vehicle will help create a tighter bond between US Bank and this customer segment.
Early on, FIS recognized the need to offer a comprehensive suite of mobile banking and payment options for the growing prepaid card market," said Frank DAngelo, executive vice president, FIS Payment Solutions.
By enabling this customer segment to conduct financial services via their mobile phones, the financial institution will benefit from strengthened relationships and ultimately a stronger revenue stream.
