NagraID Arrow Secure Card (NASC) has launched
a new range of cards with improved displays, more
touch-sensitive buttons, and the ability to generate one-time
password (OTP) to increase security when purchasing online.

The technology builds on NASC’s existing
display screen cards. The improved LCD flexible display enables
scrolling text and has the ability to display mandarin
characters.

The OTP is generated when the customer presses
a button on the card, and the technology is linked to the server of
the bank which authenticates the transaction.

NASC vice president Neeraj Malhotra said the
launch is part of the company’s drive to reduce card-not-present
fraud and make online payments more secure. Visa Europe has
launched the new cards in a number of markets, including
Switzerland.

“NASC Security enables more secure online
transactions, provides consumers more control, unprecedented
interactivity between issuer and cardholders without compromising
convenience,” said NASC vice president Neeraj Malhotra.

“The NASC Security solution delivers the
strongest protection in guarding against online transaction fraud
and identity theft.”
