e-payment service provider GobalCollect has
partnered with Despegar, one of the largest online travel agencies
in Latin America, to expand its e-commerce reach in the region.
The partnership is in addition to the existing
deal between the two companies; GloalCollect already facilitates
all Despegar’s international credit card payments.

e-commerce market in Latin America.
GlobalCollect’s role as a consultant helped
advise the travel agency on locally preferred payment methods,
relationship building with local partners and implementation of
customised solutions, said Despegar.
This allowed Despegar to
process transactions immediately and to receive automated
reporting and reconciliation tools for its high transaction volumes
to help streamline back office procedures.

Despergar was established in 1999 and has a
distribution network that spans more than 500 airlines, 70 car
