After announcing deals with major financial
institutions, Isis has now confirmed the technology providers
behind its wallet.
VeriFone, Ingenico, ViVOtech and Equinox
Payments are lined up to integrate and support the Isis Mobile
Commer App.
The announcement “is an important step in
enabling NFC technology adoption throughout the mobile commerce
industry,” said Scott Mulloy, chief technology officer, Isis.
He added: “It also validates the open
platform approach being offered by Isis across multiple business
sectors.”
The tie-up with the companies means that
the distribution network among merchants will accelerate, giving
merchants more combined payment acceptance systems with NFC-
capabilities and remote software upgrades.
