Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have gone live
with a prepaid currency card in partnership with MasterCard.
Yorkshire Bank is a trading name of the
Scottish Clydesdale Bank and both are members of the National
Australia Bank Group.
The prepaid currency card is available for the
banks’ customers in sterling, euro and US dollar.
The banks claim they are the only UK high
street banks to offer the card instantly and without the need for
additional application forms.
Steve Reid, retail director at Clydesdale
said:
“We are delighted to offer our customers
instant issue prepaid currency cards. They are not only more
convenient, but can be cheaper than using debit or credit cards
abroad.”
