Credit cards payments now constitute 68% of all non-cash transactions of business merchants in Canada, versus the global average of nearly 40%, according to the Financial Post.

The Canadian publication further found that nearly 71% of Canadians would be comfortable, if not prefer to, never handle cash again. This is a sharp rise from 27% in 2011.
