The company has recently purchased some of the merchant connection code from defunct Cypriot Bitcoin bank and debit card network Neo & Bee, and is currently in the process of finalising merchant accounts.
This will allow customers to purchase cards from CoinJelly’s site, load the cards with bitcoins and spend the amounts using the cards just like any other bank debit card.
The bitcoin cards can also be used to withdraw cash at over two million ATMs worldwide.
The company will offer limited-edition black-colored cards for the first 500 customers.
