UK-based Dearo has introduced RFID Blocking Sleeves for protecting credit, debit and other smart cards from fraud and data thefts.

Almost all the modern-day bank cards contain a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip, which stores the confidential, financial and personal information of cardholder.

Thieves try to access this information by using scanning devices that are almost undetectable. They use radio frequency technology to clone data from an individual’s cards to their devices remotely.

The Dearo-developed RFID blocking sleeves are designed to hold an individual card or document, and are coated with an aluminum shield on the inside of the sleeve.

This shield blocks electromagnetic interference from devices used by thieves, therefore preventing data transfer.

The RFID Blocking Sleeves not only protects data theft, but also are lightweight, waterproof, durable, and easy to carry as it fits perfectly in a wallet or purse.
