GlobalCollect, an Ingenico Group company, has signed an agreement with UnionPay International, a subsidiary of China UnionPay, to become a worldwide acquirer for the UnionPay network.

The deal will enable GlobalCollect to connect its client base of leading, international eCommerce companies with the 4.5 billion UnionPay cardholders, generating access to eCommerce markets across Asia and beyond.
Merchants accepting payments with UnionPay cards using GlobalCollect will gain faster boarding and implementation, full service processing and consolidated reporting.
