Global Payments, a provider of payment solutions, has launched EdgeShield, an advanced security services bundle aimed to protect credit card data, prevent counterfeit fraud and improve payment processing security.
EdgeShield, delivered through the OpenEdge integrated payments division of Global Payments, will offer a secure payments platform while preparing point-of-sale developers and merchants for the EMV mandates.
The bundle will provide point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and a token vault to replace cardholder data with digital tokens to be stored in the OpenEdge vault instead of leaving them in the merchant environment in addition to eliminating the PCI validation requirements.
OpenEdge senior vice president and general manager Sid Singh said: "EdgeShield is a multi-layered approach to card data security. OpenEdge now offers industry-leading protection at critical points through the transaction flow."
