ElectraCard Services (ECS), an India-based software solutions provider for electronic payment systems, has signed an agreement with Nepal’s NMB Bank to manage its credit and debit cards services.

Under the terms of the deal, ECS will offer the services using its PCI DSS certified data centre.

Additionally, ECS will provide NMB a comprehensive debit and credit processing solution and will allow the bank to achieve its business objectives of expanding its credit and debit card base.

According to ECS, the EMV compliant card management systems will offer NMB with complete management of the cards lifecycle as well as supporting major card networks such as Visa, SCT and NPN.

Supported by Imark, a local IT systems integrator in Nepal, the deal will help NMB to offer customers enhanced service, wider reach and improved security.

Using the ECS processing platform, NMB Bank will offer customers additional features on the cards including secure ecommerce transactions and reward points.
