UnionPay International and Tigerair Singapore announced that the airline has started accepting UnionPay card (card number starting with 62) payment for online ticket purchase on its website.

The collaboration will allow cardholders to select ‘UnionPay Card’ in the payment options and complete payment after filling in takeoff time, ID information and other necessary information on the airline’s official website.

Using the UnionPay card payment service, cardholders can avail a 10% off discount for booking tickets from 1 June to 5 July, as well as receive a SGD20 shopping voucher for the duty free shop in Resorts World Singapore from 12 June.

In addition, they can enjoy a 50% discount on purchasing tickets on 12, 19 and 26 June for designated domestic airport of departure on Tigerair website.

UnionPay said that the payment will be done in a safety framework system of independent intellectual property right secured with multiple safety technologies and risk monitoring.
