South Korean mobile carrier KT and its credit card affiliate BC Card have launched a new mobile wallet, which will alert customers on discounts and rewards offered by their credit and debit cards.
Dubbed CLiP, the new service will automatically provide customers information on credit card discount benefits and coupons they can use after entering an affiliated store.

The service, which is currently available at about 110,000 affiliated stores across the nation, will operate under a network of 180,000 Wi-Fi hotspots.
Users can register their credit card data to the app via the Host Card Education cloud-based technology and directly pay after checking all discount information using the CLiP service.
Additionally, the two companies have also unveiled plans to add a mobile payment function to the mobile wallet service in October.
